Pterostilbene

 brief introduction

Pterostilbene is a natural product of the astragalus class obtained from plants such as blueberries and sac shaped rosewood. As a natural product with multiple biological activities, Pterostilbene is widely used in scientific research fields, including pharmacology, toxicology, nutrition, etc. Pterostilbene can improve the related indicators of diabetes, such as reducing blood glucose level and increasing insulin sensitivity. By regulating the expression of genes related to fat metabolism, Pterostilbene may help reduce fat accumulation and combat obesity.

Application

Pterostilbene can inhibit the generation of ROS (reactive oxygen species), combat various free radicals such as DPPH, ABTS, hydroxyl, superoxide, and hydrogen peroxide, and exhibit strong antioxidant capacity. In the inflammatory model, Pterostilbene can inhibit the production of inflammatory factors and alleviate the inflammatory response. Research has shown that Pterostilbene has inhibitory effects on various cancer cells, possibly through inducing cell apoptosis, disrupting mitochondrial membrane potential, and other pathways.
