Dihydroberberine

 brief introduction

Dihydroberberine is a naturally occurring isoquinoline alkaloid, mainly extracted from Berberidaceae plants such as Berberis phalera Schneid. Has various pharmacological activities, yellow or needle shaped crystals, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, DMSO, and slightly soluble in water. Dihydroberberberine is mainly used for scientific research, content determination, identification, and pharmacological experiments. Due to its pharmacological activity in various disease models, Dihydroberberberine also has certain potential in the field of drug development.

Application

1. Anti inflammatory effect: By blocking the TLR4/MyD88/NF - κ B signaling pathway, reducing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and immunoglobulins, it has an inhibitory effect on DSS induced experimental colitis. 2. Anti atherosclerosis: The specific mechanism may be related to inhibition of hERG channel, reduction of Hsp90 expression and interaction with hERG. 3. Hypolipidemic effect: It has the potential to regulate blood lipid levels, but the specific mechanism still needs further research. 4. Antitumor effect: It increases the sensitivity of lung cancer to Sunitinib and has a synergistic anti-cancer effect. Dihydroberberberine can inhibit cell proliferation and colony formation in human non-small cell lung cancer cell lines, and shows stronger anti-cancer effects when used in combination with Sunitinib.
