Avobenzone is a chemical widely used in sunscreen products, typically in the form of white or slightly yellow crystalline powder. Avobenzone is an oil soluble substance with good solubility and stability. Avobenzone is mainly used in sunscreen products as a UV absorber, capable of absorbing the full spectrum of UVA (ultraviolet A band). This makes it an important ingredient in sunscreen products, which helps protect the skin from UV damage.
