What is Amstat Tranexamic Acid?

Amstat Tranexamic acid powder cas 1197-18-8(sometimes shortened to txa), also named Amstat, is a medication used to treat or prevent excessive blood loss from major trauma, postpartum bleeding, surgery, tooth removal, nosebleeds, and heavy menstruation. It also used in the area of cosmetic and helps to diminish the appearance of skin discolouration, pigmentation, melasma and age spots, so your skin appears more even, luminous and bright.

 

Application of Amstat Tranexamic Acid

Tranexamic acid is commonly used in high blood loss procedures such as heart, liver, vascular and major orthopedic surgeries. Its oral form is now being evaluated for use in outpatient Settings involving major bleeding.

Heart surgery

Tranexamic acid is commonly used in cardiac surgery, including cardiopulmonary bypass and cardiopulmonary bypass. It replaces aprotinin.

Trauma
Tranexamic acid has been found to decrease the risk of death in people who have significant bleeding due to trauma. However, it may actually increase the risk of death due to bleeding if administered more than 3 hours after the injury.
